A closer look at LeoVegas
The following paragraphs will look more closely at the most important aspects of online betting and casino gambling for customers in India.
Safety and security
It’s important and reassuring to know that LeoVegas is regulated by several important and very strict gambling jurisdictions. Whilst these are located in Europe, players from India can rest assured that the standards are particularly high and customers from India could reach out to these regulators if they encounter any issues with LeoVegas.
The online casinos and bookmaker holds licenses from Sweden, the UK, Denmark, and Malta. In addition, various casino sites offer mediation services in case of issues, including AskGamblers, where a vast majority of complaints have been resolved.
You will also find that the company has a vested interest in addressing any issues players may have. Almost all the reviews you can find on Trustpilot have been addressed by the customer service team.
Being well regulated also means that regulators will impose penalties in case of infractions. Unfortunately, LeoVegas has been penalized by the UK Gambling Commission for misleading adverts and a failure to protect self-excluded customers, which also included a failure to return funds to those customers. The operator promised to better itself after receiving a considerable fine.
Markets, odds and casino games
LeoVegas sorts its products into three main categories: casino, live casino, and sports. There are a few reasons why LeoVegas is worth your consideration as a sportsbook. Whilst kabaddi may not be available to bet on, you can certainly look forward to plenty of cricket betting and horse racing.
Football, tennis, American sports and many other markets are also available, but you have to browse a little bit to find everything that is available here.
The odds offered by LeoVegas are good, though they are not as competitive as those of other bookmakers who have been around for a lot longer. To be honest, the sportsbook at LeoVegas is not necessarily the best option if you are completely new to online sports betting in India. It is simply not as well organized as that of many competitors and we found it to be a little bit irritating that we had to go searching so much.
That said, LeoVegas offers one of the best online casinos and live casinos around. You’ll find over 1,400 games here from some of the best providers there are. There’s a massive number of table games and live casino fans will also not encounter a shortage of entertainment here.
Additionally, dozens of local and networked progressive jackpots can be found at the casino, allowing players from India to chase the big win as well.
All the products are available through a single wallet, which means you can sign up for the casino and still play at the live casino or place bets in the sportsbook.
24/7 customer service
Whether you are in India or anywhere else in the world, the customer service at LeoVegas is available 24/7. The team can be contacted via live chat and email and whilst they do have a phone option as well, you’d have to call a number in Malta, which is not convenient for players from India. Still, live chat usually suffices, and help is readily available.
You can always reach out to the customer service team on social media as well and find that they are very engaging and trying to be as helpful as possible whilst always remaining polite and professional.
The FAQ section at the casino answers many of the most common questions beforehand as well and whilst much information is available online, a few things are missing if you have not yet signed up.
Banking at LeoVegas
One of the things missing is a comprehensive section about payment options at LeoVegas. Unless you login to an account and visit the cashier, you will not find much information about banking, including deposits and withdrawals, beforehand.
The good news is, though, that you can do all your banking at LeoVegas in Indian rupees. Also, promotions and games are also available to play in Indian rupees and won’t cause you a disadvantage.
As it is, no matter where you are in the world, LeoVegas offers Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard and Credit Cards as payment options as well as bank transfers for deposits and withdrawals (with the exception of Paysafecard). There are no specific deposit or withdrawal options available to customers in India that you wouldn’t be able to use elsewhere.
As far as we know, no fees apply when making deposits or withdrawals, at least not through LeoVegas. If your bank imposes fees, however, is a different matter.
Unfortunately, there is a withdrawal limit at LeoVegas, which is only specified as €/£/$ 100,000 (or the currency equivalent). On top of that, only 3 withdrawals per month are free of charge, beyond that a fee applies.
Of course, make sure to go through the KYC (know your customer) process before you request your first withdrawal. That will save you time and hassle once you are able to make a withdrawal as it means your withdrawal can then be approved much more quickly. And perhaps only withdraw a part of your wins the first time around, just to test how long things take and whether everything is smooth.
Welcome bonus and other promotions
Naturally, you might be interested in claiming a welcome bonus when signing up at LeoVegas. Thankfully, there is one available for online casino players from India. With your first three deposits, you will be able to claim up to INR 10,000 each time, though this is not always a 100% bonus. A full breakdown of how much you can expect to receive when you deposit a certain amount of rupees is available on the promotions page.
Players from India will need to then complete wagering requirements of 15x their claimed bonus using only real money. That means, in order to be able to withdraw the bonus or winnings from it, you need to wager the value of your bonus 15x. But you can only use your own funds to do so. Also, only slots count towards meeting the wagering requirements. You have 30 days to complete wagering.

Welcome bonus aside, LeoVegas often hosts month-long promotions to win cash, free spins, holidays or other prizes, which are also available to players in India.
Naturally, sports promotions can also be claimed such as IPL promotions for cricket fans, tennis or football betting promotions or even the occasional free bet.
The VIP program LeoVegas offers does not currently seem to be available to customers in India.
Navigation, design and mobile play
As we’ve already mentioned, we don’t particularly like the navigation in the sportsbook. Sure, it’s possible to find your way around but it’s not intuitive. At first, you’re wondering what it is you’re looking at and why there is hardly any information. Then you go digging.
In fact, we suspect that it is probably much more intuitive when you use your mobile device. The whole setup suggests that it has been optimized for mobile use and it may just improve your experience of online betting at LeoVegas.
All other aspects of the design are great, though. You can easily find your way around the casino and the live casino and everything is quite user-friendly. You can filter for various games and use the search option to find a title if you already know exactly what you want.
Of course, LeoVegas claims itself to be the King of Mobile Casino in India. Thus, their mobile gambling platform is one of the best around. Sure, perhaps that claim is a little too much in terms of patting themselves on the shoulder. But the many awards LeoVegas received as the best mobile casino are certainly deserved.
A great casino for online casino players in India, but not the best sportsbook
In our book, LeoVegas offers an excellent online casino and live casino. They’ve been around for over 7 years now and established a massive international customer base. They are extremely well regulated and when they make a mistake, they own it.
Their game selection is excellent and if you are a fan of mobile gambling, LeoVegas is a great choice for you. Plus, online betting in India is made easy and attractive with extra bonuses and the option to deposit and withdraw in Indian rupees.
The issue with their sportsbook is not so much a lack of markets or bad odds, it is mostly an issue of design and navigation. We didn’t find it a user-friendly experience and that could deter some punters from placing their bets here. Yes, there are better bookmakers for all your online betting needs in India, but LeoVegas is doing alright and considering their other offers, you aren’t going wrong in trying them out.
Yes, LeoVegas accepts payments in rupees, and you can play with INR as currency if you got a residence in India.
LeoVegas offers odds on almost all the favorite sports in India such as tennis, golf, cricket, horse racing, and football. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to make kabaddi bets at LeoVegas yet, but we hope they add this in the future. Players from India should find all the markets they are looking for at LeoVegas except kabaddi.
LeoVegas has a reward winning mobile application (Winner of ‘Best Native App’ at the EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards 2017).
